KAIKI (we, our, or us) operates KAIKI, an AI-powered code security scanning service available at kaiki.dev. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the service.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials via GitHub OAuth. We never store your GitHub password.

Repository data

When you scan a repository we temporarily access your source code through the GitHub API. Code is processed in real time for analysis and is not permanently stored. We retain only the scan results: detected issues, file names, line numbers, and severity levels.

Usage data

We automatically collect technical information including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps, for service improvement and security purposes.

Payment information

Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. We do not directly collect or store your card details.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the code scanning service

• To process scan requests and generate security reports

• To communicate with you about your account and service updates

• To improve our detection accuracy using anonymized, aggregated data only

• To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse

3. Third-party services

• KAIKI Alpha: AI inference for code analysis

• GitHub: OAuth authentication and repository access

• Vercel: application hosting

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them.

4. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit with TLS 1.3, secure OAuth token handling, and strict access controls. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention

Scan results are retained for as long as your account is active. Source code is processed in real time and is not permanently stored. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting barali@kaiki.dev.

7. Cookies

KAIKI is not directed to individuals under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of KAIKI after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
